A while ago while I was helping my eldest with his writing he promptly told me "you're not the teacher", I must say it did hurt, A because He had never seen me in my teaching role at a school before and B more importantly soon he would be going off to school to a whole new world!
I took advantage of the Cosmo Cricket sketch challenge and used some yummy odds and ends pattern paper to complete my layout.
Gorgeous Scrapware doily frame, MLBOW apple pin and newsprint banner from my fav etsy shop here.
Till next time...

completely gorgeous as always. I always find it amazing how my kids listen so much better to their teachers than to me. I tried and tried to teach my daughter how to tell time. One day she came home with homework and I was explaining how to do the part where she has to tell the time on the clock and write it in digital format. And she said, I KNOW, we learned that in school. LOL. Oh well. They are still learning from us in other ways I guess :)
Oooh I just adore this Kim! And once again, you have photographed it beautifully. :)
Fabulous LO Kim. Love the little touch of the Whimsy apple. School will be great for you both. I know am enjoying it too as it is just a new chapter in your lives.
it is so beautiful as always, Kim! and I just love your journaling, it can always tell the real emotional story
oh Kim this is so touching! Its strange how they don't listen to us but other people sometimes like we are only Mum, but they do end up realising that you are more than just their Mum, but all in all this is just beautiful! Hope you have a lovely weekend xoxo
Hehe wait till he is at school...it will be "Miss said this" etc, etc, all the things you've been trying to tell them for years ;) but in time they come to realise how wise you are! :)
Gorgeous layout, love those papers, your photos & especially the journaling!
Loved looking through your blog, I knoe I'm evil! Gilly oxo
ouch! he certainly says what he thinks! but then you ARE the teacher.. you as a mum have taught him so very much.. he looks like he is getting ready for big school that is for sure!
lovely layout with natural journalling and candid photos which will be great to look back on.. always love seeing what is new on your blog Kim.. have a great weekend!
I just love your apple in the pic of your LO. Too cute.
The things they say hey?
Again, fab papers and details to highlight your pics and journaling. Gorgeous.

YEP! wait till he starts school..

Oh Kim, sometimes they can be very blunt and only see what's in front of them.
I love the layout, its stunning.
Goodness me Kim, you have such a way with colour and your photography is amazing. Just love this and that banner is awesome. I just had this paper range delivered this week. I hope I can make them look as good as you have!! Have a great weekend. B-)))
I love this layout! And another precious moment documented! Stunning!
Oh Kim, just wait...it gets so much worse...lol. Same situation here...Noah has never known me to be a teacher and so it has taken until about 4 weeks ago to convince him that I have the same qualifications as his teacher and I am more than able to help him when he needs it...lol. We have had some ripper arguements over this...apparently I know 'NOTHING'...hahaha. Love that you recorded this...I should do the same. Hugs, Nat.
Loving everything about this LO!!! The colour palette is terrific! So great to document this phase of life. Yeah, once they get to school their teachers know everything and we, as parents, know very little. hee hee Then when they hit their teenage years they decide that both their parents and their teachers don't know much!! LOL
Oh Kim... that is heart breaking to read.. as I know it would bring tears to my eyes too.. we just want the best for our babies.. Love your layout.. super duper excellento!!!!!!!

Lovely to see that CC Odds & Ends pp at work here !!!
