not his teacher...

A while ago while I was helping my eldest with his writing he promptly told me "you're not the teacher", I must say it did hurt, A because He had never seen me in my teaching role at a school before and B more importantly soon he would be going off to school to a whole new world!
I took advantage of the Cosmo Cricket sketch challenge and used some yummy odds and ends pattern paper to complete my layout.

Gorgeous Scrapware doily frame, MLBOW apple pin and newsprint banner from  my fav etsy shop here.

Till next time...

  1. completely gorgeous as always. I always find it amazing how my kids listen so much better to their teachers than to me. I tried and tried to teach my daughter how to tell time. One day she came home with homework and I was explaining how to do the part where she has to tell the time on the clock and write it in digital format. And she said, I KNOW, we learned that in school. LOL. Oh well. They are still learning from us in other ways I guess :)

  5. oh Kim this is so touching! Its strange how they don't listen to us but other people sometimes like we are only Mum, but they do end up realising that you are more than just their Mum, but all in all this is just beautiful! Hope you have a lovely weekend xoxo

  17. Oh Kim, just wait...it gets so much worse...lol. Same situation here...Noah has never known me to be a teacher and so it has taken until about 4 weeks ago to convince him that I have the same qualifications as his teacher and I am more than able to help him when he needs it...lol. We have had some ripper arguements over this...apparently I know 'NOTHING'...hahaha. Love that you recorded this...I should do the same. Hugs, Nat.

  18. Loving everything about this LO!!! The colour palette is terrific! So great to document this phase of life. Yeah, once they get to school their teachers know everything and we, as parents, know very little. hee hee Then when they hit their teenage years they decide that both their parents and their teachers don't know much!! LOL
