Don't you just love that fabulous Australian chipboard frame...not really my style of chippie, but I love it on this layout, of course it is from 3tails . And whats a layout without some whimsy ???

chillin....

larsen was such a chilled relaxed baby, and thankfully still is now at 17 months. I found this old photo of him and loved it so much I wanted to do a layout about this side of his personality.

Ahh can you do any better than a little October Afternoon, hambly and maya mist!!!

Just check out that 3 layered little owl from 3tails which will be available at the paper craft convention in Brisbane in three weeks, isnt he the cutest, it comes in three seperate layers.

I have also used that fun little frog button from lilredrocketbuttons .

I also have some other exciting news I have been asked to join the DT over at handmadewithsuzanne ,along with the awesome Chloe, Marelize, Liz, Kathy and Sue...soooo exciting to be working with you girls! Thanks for stopping by.

No pattern paper...what the!!!

Over at scrapawhile we had our first Cyber Crop last Thursday. One of the challenges the girls proposed for the DT was to create a layout without pattern paper YIKES!! You don't really realise how much you depend on something till you can't use it. We also had to use RAW chipboard YIPEE!!, stars, no bling and pleating. Here is what I came up with, I used a transparency instead.

I was in charge of the blind challenge and used some old photos from our first trip to Hawaii for this one.

Tracey challenged us to use orange, aqua and pink , to use a flower and a large circle or frame on our layout.

Kylie asked us to use her sketch and I came up with this one.

First shoes

Today I have another layout to share from my guest DT spot at my2angels .

Recently we bought Larsen his first pair of shoes so I decided to celebrate with a special layout just for him!

Again I have used the yummy Sassafras lass Apple jack papers. This fabulous chipboard signpost from scrapware and some cute little cap, lolly pop and apple charms found here.

I used some string to tie the charms to the sign post. Oh and you can see some gorgeous little dark brown pearls to finish it off. Head on over to the 2angels blog to see what fabulous work the girls from the DT did this month too!

cover boy THE LAYOUT

Last week I was so excited as you know about Addison being on the cover of the local newspaper, I just couldn't wait any longer to create my layout. I have used some gorgeous new October Afternoon papers, a little ladybug pin from mylittlebitofwhimsy and that cute little chippie boy is from 3tails , it's hard to see but I have sprayed it with some glimmermist to give it a little shine.

My second layout features some fun art work from Addison again..(yes I do have another son LOL got some layouts in the works featuring Larsen) I took a photo of his art work because it was too big to fit on my page.

For both layouts I have used some fun goodies from lilredrocket including vintage book rounds, old labels, an archie round and a date round.

Mid month Challenges

Good morning everyone, Being the 15th I have some new challenges to share with you today.

Firstly there is a new sketch up at stuck here is the sketch and my take.

That gorgously boyish rocket is from 3tails and I have used some super cool pattern paper from my minds eye and a little splash of glimmer mist.

Secondly the mid month challenge at scrapawhile was set by Kylie this month and we had to scraplift a fun layout by Ebony Van Der Starre .

My cover boy

Addison is a cover boy...Last week the local paper came to take some pictures and do an article about the playgroup that I run here. Well the paper came out yesterday and there is Addison larger than life on the cover of the paper, to say I was excited was an understatement. Of course I ran around like crazy getting some extra copies, taking photos of the paper and with him...to scrap of course. NOW to get him on the cover of A scrapbook magazine....then my life would be complete LOL!!(in my dreams)

Such Inspiration

I so love this photo of David and Larsen, it is a couple of months old and I had done a layout previously with it but was never happy with it, every time I looked at it in my pile of ever growing layouts I HATED it, so I pulled it apart and came up with this, I have used a combo of older products and new....including those fun October Afternoon journalling tags. I have also used a journalling spot from lilredrocket and that chipboard journalling star is from 3tails .

On Saturday I had the greatest pleasure in spending the day with the ever so inspirational heidi Swapp. She is just amazing, full of such positive energy, spark and enthusiasm . She gave this beautiful heartwarming speech at the end of the day as to WHY we scrapbook and it had her and the rest of us in tears. I learnt many great new ideas from her and Wendy the owner from tattered angels so you will be seeing lots more glimmermisting in layouts to come. Thanks to the gorgeous taryn and lovely tracy for making it such a beautiful day.Till next time...

guest designer

I was so excited when Tracy asked me to be guest designer this month over at my2angels , I knew straight away which papers I would choose from the shop the yummy scummy Apple Jack papers from sassafrass lass . Here is the first of the layouts I did for her.

For MR MISCHIEF I used the fun Recite Apple Jack pattern paper. Its a bit Darker than my usual bright cheery layouts but a bit of fun none the less.

I grabbed from my2angels the awesome 100% boys ribbon which has lots of great words to describe your boy and the cute little apple and boys cap charms.

Well its one more sleep till Heidi.... Pre Heidi drinks with the gorgeously gorgeous taryn are on tonight before the big day tomorrow.

my boys

I think my boys are just too clever, both can talk the hind leg off a cow , Larsen at 16 months talks and talks and talks...I decided to record this memory of course...

I was using the fabulous banner pieces for another project and had a couple of banners left over so I decided bigger is definitely better and used them on my layout. Of course they are from 3tails as is that cutie patootie little boy. The little lollypop charm is from my2angels , and the pattern paper is some gorgeously cute jillibean soup.

The second layout documents Addison being able to write his name.

For this layout I have used one of Shell's mini inspiration kits from lilredrocketbuttons and if you head on over there you will see there are 3 awesome give aways.
