Lego Marquee Lights

You all probably know my boys are obsessed with Lego! When the Heidi Swapp Marquee love Lights came out I knew straight away I wanted to make the word Lego for their toy room! Today I wanted to share a quick tutorial how I went about making my fun Lego Marquee Lights!

I started with the lego Marquee letters, four cans of spray paint in the primary colours and  I also downloaded these Chima Lego comics here and printed them off!

Once I printed  off the comics I used the letter template found in each letter box to trace around each letter from the comic.

I then sprayed painted each letter  and once dry placed the cut comic letters into the Marquee letters. I used a pencil to  push holes into the comic to place the bulbs into then added the bulbs and lights!

My boys are totally in love with them. They like to have them lit up during the day when they are playing with their lego! The best kind of toy room accessory!

What word would you like to spell out! I would love to know!

The letters look wonderful, no wonder your boys love them! And not sure what word I would have, maybe family on my lounge room wall would be nice!

Love this Kim. I got a C for my son (first letter of his name) and I was going to place either Star Wars fabric or Lego magazine stuff on the inside. Now that I know you can spray them I'm going to do that.

Wow what a fab idea Kim! Love that you did the word Lego for them! I think that I would choose the word 'Play' for my boys toy room and probably 'Create' for my toy room!!

this looks awesome Kim. My boys love lego too - and mine are almost 12 and almost 15. I think I will do something similar for my boys - but star wars for the eldest and City lego for the yougest. Are your boys Lego club memebrs - they would love the magazines. posters etc.
