April Fools with my Mini Lightbox

Ahh the first of April and you know what that means! April Fools!
I'm here to share some advice with you!
Believe Nothing!
Trust No One!

I have my Heidi Swapp Mini Lightbox all set up for the day so when my boys come down ready to go to school they know what is in store for them for the day!

I used the black mini letters from the Mini Teal Lightbox alpha set and the Mini icons to create my phrase!

I love the way it looks, I think I might keep it up all April!
You can find the Mini Lightbox and accessories here at Heidi Swapp dot com!

Art Walk meets Cinque Terre

I  am still enjoying  working on my travel album, even though we travelled through Europe almost 18 months ago. Each time I look through my photos the memories come flooding back so I continue to capture them in my album. I have loved using the Heidi Swapp Art Walk collection for so many of my European stories, the vintage vibe just complements my photos beautifully. Today I want to share a spread about our last night in Cinque Terre.

I began with that enlarged photo on the left which I printed at 9 x 12. In the pockets I added pattern paper from the Art Walk paper pad, the patterns and colours where chosen to coordinate with my photos.

I used some of the definition stickers and letter stickers from the Art Walk paper pad to embellish my large photo. I simply adhered them straight onto my photo.

I added more definition stickers onto my photos as well as a tag I made from white  cardstock. I used the Art Walk leaf dies and some vellum and gold glitter cardstock to layer under my tag.

I also used more of the yellow letter stickers from the Art Walk paper pad to complete the pockets.
Slowly but surely my travel album is coming together. Using the Art Walk collection has been a favourite way to tell my travel stories. Find the Art Walk collection at JoAnn stores now!

Lucky me + a free St Patricks Day printable

Sharing the luck of the Irish today with the perfect Heidi Swapp foil, and I think my favourite -  Rainbow Foil. I wanted to celebrate how lucky I am in my Wellness Planner for March so I thought why not go all the way with this stunning foiled transparency.  I have combined my Storyline Chapters planner and this foiled printable to create my pages.

On the left I printed off my photo at 7.5 x 9 inches and adhered it to the page.

I printed the Lucky Me printable onto a transparency using my laser printer and then ran it through my Minc Machine with the Rainbow foil.

On the right page I added a central photo then built my design in and around. I added stamps from the Color Fresh collection and ephemera from the Storyline Chapters collection to complete my page.

I love layering stickers over other stickers to create a cohesive effect to my pages.

You can find the FREE printable to download  HERE

You can find all the products for this project at JoAnn stores now.

Foiled QR codes!

One of my most favourite techniques I like to use in my memory keeping is to use QR codes. These link back to videos I have uploaded to my personal YouTube account. These videos are usually ones I have taken on my iPhone of my family. I wanted to take it to the next level and so I decided  to use my
Heidi Swapp Minc to foil my QR codes!

Heidi Swapp Minc

I began by using my QR reader app to make the code. I then sent the code to my computer and printed it off onto some white paper using my laser printer. I then chose some coloured Minc foils that coordinated with my photos - red and gold.

I layered some of the foil over my printed QR codes and ran them through my Minc Machine! I adhered them straight onto my photo for a fun look. I love the way it looks.

Heidi Swapp Storyline Chapters

For my other photos and pockets I used some of the Heidi Swapp Storyline Chapters papers and ephemera to embellish.

On this enlarged photo I added some of the Art Walk definition stickers for the easiest embellishment ever!
Working on my Project Life and adding fun pops of Minc foil is a cool way to ad colour and pizazz to your project!

Art Walk meets the Amalfi Coast

It is coming up to almost 2 years since my family and I took our European vacation. I am continuing to love working on my travel album and I have loved using the Heidi Swapp Art Walk collection for many of my spreads,  today I want to share my newest. travel layout.

Today's spread tells the story of our visit to the beautiful Amalfi coast. I combined an enlarged photo with a pocket page and used lots of goodness from the Art Walk collection to complete my spread.

I trimmed pattern papers from the 6x8 Art Walk paper pad to 3x4 and slipped them into the pockets. On one of them I ran it through my typewriter to add my journalling.

I then embellished my photos and my pattern paper cards with the word stickers from the Art Walk 6x12 sticker sheet. It was a simple but cohesive way to add embellishments.

To complete my spread I used some of the Art Walk thickers and black alpha stickers to create my title straight onto my photo. I love the way this pops against my photo.
This spread came together quickly because I used the one collection and repeated the same elements. It is such a great way to get your projects done!
You can find the Art Walk collection here at your local JoAnn store!

Celebrating love with my Heidi Swapp Blush Memory Dex Spinner

Celebrating love today with my Heidi Swapp Blush Memory Dex Spinner.
I love that its like a small canvas to be creative with. Today I want to share 3 new Memory Dex cards I have made to celebrate the season of love.

I started with the February card  and ran it through my typewriter to add my journaling.
Next I  added some of the Storyline Chapters Sheer stickers for the word LOVE.

To complete I layered on some of the Storyline Chapters floral stickers and ephemera pieces. I love how sweet it looks.

Next I took one  of the Storyline Chapters pattern paper pads and found this glorious floral paper. I used my die cutting machine and Memory Dex dies to cut out the card.
I trimmed down a piece of white card and typed out my love quote.

I then stitched on that butterfly sticker from the Storyline Chapters collection and layered over a couple of stickers to complete. Simple and sweet.

For my final card I used a 4x6 photo of my husband and I. Again I used the Memory Dex die to cut out the card. I simply layered over some of the sheer Storyline Chapters stickers and that clear butterfly sticker. So simple but so unique.

Old school Memory Dex cards

I am loving my Heidi Swapp Blush Memory Dex lately. A place to play and create on a smaller canvas. I love teaming my Blush Memory Dex up with the Heidi Swapp Old School collection. The colours and patterns just make me happy.
I decided to make myself a few cards to celebrate 2021. Let me share them with you now.

I began with that fun striped pattern paper and used my Memory Dex die to cut out the card. I then added a fav photo that I took on NYE with my husband to the card. I embellished simply with stickers from the Old School collection to complete my card.

I began my next card with that beautiful floral pattern paper and again used the Memory Dex die to cut out the card. I used a large circle punch to punch that pink circle then layered over pieces from the Old School Ephemera pack. I added some of the Old School thickers to complete my card.

For my final card I again cut out the pattern paper from the Old School collection with the Memory Dex die. I then used the stamps from the Old School collection to stamp out that quote using some soft pink ink. I finished off by adding some Old school ephemera  and some splashes of pink Color Shine.
I am looking forward to creating monthly Memory Dex cards this year, a way to add a touch of creativity to my home decor.
