Something I can't live without...

This month at SUYS there is a fun new challenge asking you to create a project about something you can't live with out, and of course using a handmade object made by you or someone else.

I KNOW I cannot live without my husband so I made a card dedicated to him when he is away on business sometimes. We were lucky to be sponsored by Purple pumpkin buttons this month, and I included this fun button on my card.I have also added another card that was recently up in the hambly gallery that I made for valentines day for hubby as well!

When we started dating over 10 years ago, my husband then boyfriend sent me many love letters, although I don't receive that many now... on the odd occasion I do, I have kept them in a box. When I received this gorgeous new card keeper from Scrapware I knew instantly what I was going to use it for.Gorgeous new Scrapware chippie lamp postMore delish music paper banner from my fav etsy shop I finished it off with some organza and bakers twine, that can be easily undone to add more LOL.

change of pace...

I have been in a bit of a rut lately thinking my layouts all looked the same, so I wanted to try something a little different...so far away from my usual style it's not funny! paper tearing, distressing, FLOWERS, no straight lines...what's next? LOl

Summer rain

As many of you know it rained and rained and rained this last Summer for us here in Brisbane. We spent one rainy day at Australia zoo with a friend I haven't seen in years since I moved here almost 3 years ago, Didn't stop us from having a fab time. the heart army...

After the floods here in Queensland and Brisbane I know I and many others were feeling flat for weeks afterwards.To say the devastation affected me is an understatement! You will see in my journalling below I found a way for myself to start to feel good again and to help those in need in their darkest hours and days.I will let it speak for itself

He loves me....

My hubby David is the love of my life.

I suffer anxiety quite badly and he is def my rock, He has spent countless hours talking me through my stresses- sometimes successfully, sometimes not, but through it all he has shown my over and over that he loves me and for that I am sooo thankful each and every day.

Being the first of the month there is a new challenge up over at Show Us Your Stuff. Being February and valentines day not being very far away the first challenge is to create a layout or project using a handmade heart.

I came up with this, totally different for me but I am in desperate need of a style shake up!
