Be carefree with your Blush Memory Dex spinner!

Hello everyone, I am back to share my monthly dose of Heidi Swapp Memory Dex inspiration with you. This month I am using the new Carefree collection to create 3 Memory Dex cards. I love creating these monthly cards for my Blush Memory Dex spinner. It adds some whimsy to my home decor and fills up my creative side as well.

I began with this  Mountain pattern paper from the 6 x 8  pattern paper pad and cut it using my Memory Dex die. I ran it through my typewriter to add the quote ' you can move mountains'. I then took some of the  stickers from the Sticker book and Ephemera pack and adhered them to my card. I finished off by using my sand paper around the edges of the card and stickers to add some texture.

Next I used my die cut machine and Memory Dex dies to cut the blue woodgrain and also burnt orange leafy pattern paper from the 6x8 Pattern Paper pad. I punched a circle in the blue wood grain card and then used pop dots to layer the two pieces together. I grabbed some of the Ephemera pieces and again used pop dots to adhere these to the front to add shadow and dimension.

For my final card I trimmed some of that cheetah print pattern paper from the 6x8 pattern paper pad into a tag shape and then used my Memory Dex punch to punch the tabs. I used some of the Heidi Swapp toner paper and ran it through my Minc with some of the Gold Star Minc foil. I cut it into a tag shape and then layered over tags and ephemera from the Carefree collection to complete my Memory Dex card.

Creating these cards are so fun, they are like little canvases of creativity. You can find the Blush Memory Dex spinner and Carefree collection here at Scrapbook.com right now!

lets count my books read in my Storyline Chapters insert

As a teenager I spent my days and nights reading. Then as a busy teacher, wife and now mum, reading went by the way side. But this year I am determined to get back into the wonderful habit so I thought I would create myself a Book journal to keep myself accountable. The new Heidi Swapp Storyline Chapters  Decades inserts where the perfect choice.

I chose the insert with the spots and decided to create my title using the stamps from the Carefree collection.

I stamped the letters using some Mint ink on paper then cut around the stamped edges. I then stitched them to the front of the journal.

I trimmed that gorgeous leaf pattern paper from the 6x8 Carefree pattern  paper pad and adhered it to the left of my page. To count my books I again used the Carefree stamps and some pink ink on some paper and punched it into a circle and adhered it to the top right of my page.

I added my journaling onto one of the tags from the Carefree collection and adhered it to the top of my page. I layered some stickers over my photo to complete my page.
I cant wait to record the next book I have read into my insert.

You can find the Carefree collection and Storyline Chapters  Decades albums and inserts at JoAnn stores now!

Radiate Joy

Today I am here to share some positive vibes with you! One thing I love to do weekly is to change out my Heidi Swapp Lightbox with a new happiness quote. Changing out the quote is not only quick and so very easy but also fun to do and it adds a touch of whimsy to my home decor.

I found this quote on Pinterest after searching for happiness quotes and it spoke to me immediately.

I used my favourite Lightbox letters- The black Marquee slides  and that cute smiley emoji from the
Mega Icon pack to create my quote.

Doesn't that cute smily face just radiate JOY!
You can find the lightbox and slides HERE at Heidi Swapp dot com.

Celebrating beach memories with foil accents

This year I am loving working in my project life album and I am loving making a statement with favourite photos that are enlarged. I wanted to share one of my newest spreads with you, and not only does it have statement photo but I added some bling with my newest favourite foil- the Pool Minc foil from Heidi Swapp.

I love how it shimmers and shines and gives the illusion of water, which connected perfectly with my beach photo.

In my pocket pages I added pattern papers and ephemera from the Old School collection. the tropical vibes were the perfect way to embellish my page.

I added the stickers and ephemera directly onto my photos to create a cohesive feel.

For my foiled over lay, I used one of the Digi words from Heidi's site, enlarged it printed it off on my laser printer onto a transparency. I then ran it through my Minc machine with some of the Pool foil. What a spectacular effect it creates.
I cannot wait to use it on more of my Summer projects!

Art Walk meets Cinque Terre

I  am still enjoying  working on my travel album, even though we travelled through Europe almost 18 months ago. Each time I look through my photos the memories come flooding back so I continue to capture them in my album. I have loved using the Heidi Swapp Art Walk collection for so many of my European stories, the vintage vibe just complements my photos beautifully. Today I want to share a spread about our last night in Cinque Terre.

I began with that enlarged photo on the left which I printed at 9 x 12. In the pockets I added pattern paper from the Art Walk paper pad, the patterns and colours where chosen to coordinate with my photos.

I used some of the definition stickers and letter stickers from the Art Walk paper pad to embellish my large photo. I simply adhered them straight onto my photo.

I added more definition stickers onto my photos as well as a tag I made from white  cardstock. I used the Art Walk leaf dies and some vellum and gold glitter cardstock to layer under my tag.

I also used more of the yellow letter stickers from the Art Walk paper pad to complete the pockets.
Slowly but surely my travel album is coming together. Using the Art Walk collection has been a favourite way to tell my travel stories. Find the Art Walk collection at JoAnn stores now!

Lucky me + a free St Patricks Day printable

Sharing the luck of the Irish today with the perfect Heidi Swapp foil, and I think my favourite -  Rainbow Foil. I wanted to celebrate how lucky I am in my Wellness Planner for March so I thought why not go all the way with this stunning foiled transparency.  I have combined my Storyline Chapters planner and this foiled printable to create my pages.

On the left I printed off my photo at 7.5 x 9 inches and adhered it to the page.

I printed the Lucky Me printable onto a transparency using my laser printer and then ran it through my Minc Machine with the Rainbow foil.

On the right page I added a central photo then built my design in and around. I added stamps from the Color Fresh collection and ephemera from the Storyline Chapters collection to complete my page.

I love layering stickers over other stickers to create a cohesive effect to my pages.

You can find the FREE printable to download  HERE

You can find all the products for this project at JoAnn stores now.

Foiled QR codes!

One of my most favourite techniques I like to use in my memory keeping is to use QR codes. These link back to videos I have uploaded to my personal YouTube account. These videos are usually ones I have taken on my iPhone of my family. I wanted to take it to the next level and so I decided  to use my
Heidi Swapp Minc to foil my QR codes!

Heidi Swapp Minc

I began by using my QR reader app to make the code. I then sent the code to my computer and printed it off onto some white paper using my laser printer. I then chose some coloured Minc foils that coordinated with my photos - red and gold.

Heidi Swapp Minc

I layered some of the foil over my printed QR codes and ran them through my Minc Machine! I adhered them straight onto my photo for a fun look. I love the way it looks.

Heidi Swapp Storyline Chapters

For my other photos and pockets I used some of the Heidi Swapp Storyline Chapters papers and ephemera to embellish.

Heidi Swapp Minc

On this enlarged photo I added some of the Art Walk definition stickers for the easiest embellishment ever!
Working on my Project Life and adding fun pops of Minc foil is a cool way to ad colour and pizazz to your project!

Art Walk meets the Amalfi Coast

It is coming up to almost 2 years since my family and I took our European vacation. I am continuing to love working on my travel album and I have loved using the Heidi Swapp Art Walk collection for many of my spreads,  today I want to share my newest. travel layout.

Today's spread tells the story of our visit to the beautiful Amalfi coast. I combined an enlarged photo with a pocket page and used lots of goodness from the Art Walk collection to complete my spread.

I trimmed pattern papers from the 6x8 Art Walk paper pad to 3x4 and slipped them into the pockets. On one of them I ran it through my typewriter to add my journalling.

I then embellished my photos and my pattern paper cards with the word stickers from the Art Walk 6x12 sticker sheet. It was a simple but cohesive way to add embellishments.

To complete my spread I used some of the Art Walk thickers and black alpha stickers to create my title straight onto my photo. I love the way this pops against my photo.
This spread came together quickly because I used the one collection and repeated the same elements. It is such a great way to get your projects done!
You can find the Art Walk collection here at your local JoAnn store!

Celebrating love with my Heidi Swapp Blush Memory Dex Spinner

Celebrating love today with my Heidi Swapp Blush Memory Dex Spinner.
I love that its like a small canvas to be creative with. Today I want to share 3 new Memory Dex cards I have made to celebrate the season of love.

I started with the February card  and ran it through my typewriter to add my journaling.
Next I  added some of the Storyline Chapters Sheer stickers for the word LOVE.

To complete I layered on some of the Storyline Chapters floral stickers and ephemera pieces. I love how sweet it looks.

Next I took one  of the Storyline Chapters pattern paper pads and found this glorious floral paper. I used my die cutting machine and Memory Dex dies to cut out the card.
I trimmed down a piece of white card and typed out my love quote.

I then stitched on that butterfly sticker from the Storyline Chapters collection and layered over a couple of stickers to complete. Simple and sweet.

For my final card I used a 4x6 photo of my husband and I. Again I used the Memory Dex die to cut out the card. I simply layered over some of the sheer Storyline Chapters stickers and that clear butterfly sticker. So simple but so unique.
