lots to share

Good morning and happy first of the month.

I have been playing with shimmers and circles lately and banners of course!!!

This first layout chronicles Addison's LOVE of any thing water.

I love elizabeth and when I found out she was bringing out her own line I just couldnt wait to play with some of her yumminess.

I love that 3 year olds are so innocent. They say and do things that are sweet, funny and best of all innocent.

Lastly its the first of the month and a new sketch is up over at stuck.

Here is the sketch and my take. Not my favourite layout but its done.

mmmm just not sure...

I have been debating about whether to post these two layouts, I am just not sure if I'm happy with them or not. The first one up I worked on for 3 hours last night and still only managed to come up with this...I know its because of that paper its just not me. I did manage to use some new shimmers vibez though so that was fun!

The second one talks about Addison and his or should I say my dress sense for him. I know the trend these days is for the t shirts to hang out but I love the tucked in look ,makes him look like such a sweet innocent three year old....

Will have to ponder it a bit more...and if still bugs me in the album I will pull it apart and start again...I have been known to do that on occasion.

A revelation......

Being a kindergarten teacher I have always known how inportant play is, I have been tossing up lately about whether to send Addison to some sort of day care this year before he goes to pre school next year, I guess because alot of my friends have been doing it.... but I realise that play is the most important thing for Addison right now, so he can learn, explore, investigate, problem solve...and he can do all that right here at home here with Larsen and me. Immediatley I found these fabulous photos that the beautiful Taryn took of him and went to my LSS and bought some yummy new Cosmo Cricket and of course some October Afternoon as well and came up with this.

You can see my love affair with banners, glimmermist and twine continues...

Dance baby

Dance baby....Larsen loves to dance, he started when he was about 13 months and when ever he hears music he starts bopping!! Sitting in his high chair or standing he just bops....I think his fav type of music is jazz though he really gets into it...Lovin making those pin wheels at the moment, I have used felt and denim.

I just thought I would share this simple pin cushion I made from a tea cup I got from the salvos, I'm using it to store my littlebitofwhimsy pins and buttons...too cute.

A little update on lilredrocketbuttons Michelle has been inundated with orders and at the moment they are all sold out !!!! but keep checking back as she will be restocking her stash soon and I'll have some yummy goodness to play with.

Triple the excitment!!!

Today I have three fabulous things to share with you. Firstly I finished this layout last night after unsuccessfully trying to use the gorgeous ribbon on 2 layouts before.

Love this photo of the four of us snuggling up in bed on a Sunday morning. And if you have seen all the latest products to come out of CHA you may have seen this gorgeous ribbon before from a very well known scrapper....and a favourite of mine who has her own line now with AC!, However I found the exact same ribbon in this little shabby chic store here in Brisbane!

My second and third news is that I am now on the design teams for scrapawhile and lilredrocketbuttons Wow two DT opportunities in 1 week I am so excited, the girls over at Scrapawhile are just so lovely and Michelle's buttons and goodies are too die for. I can't wait to start playing with some fabulous goodies.

boys having fun.... and a give away

Do you rememeber when you were at school and the boys were playing marbles and the girls were playing elastics...well times have changed, just check this out. This is Addison with the neighbours on Christmas Eve trying to give the good old elastics a go. I must say all the boys aged between 5 and 2 gave it a good shot.

My little Aussie boy..

We just recently celebrated Australia day here in Australia and I took this gorgeous photo of Larsen with his little hat turned up. I wanted to scrap this photo straight away but didnt have the right papers until the ever faithful October Afternooon papers showed up. My little banner is made of some toothpick flags I bought for Australia day, I just cut the end of the toothpick off and cut them into triangles.

I love this photo of David and Larsen too, it was taken a couple of weeks ago he just loves playing with his daddy. I have used some distress stickles on the chipboard wings and heart.
