So I have been trying to shake things up a little with my scrapping. This one is a true new fav of mine, I havent felt like that with a layout in a long time....there's a little inspiration from Mel mixed in with some good ole raw chippie from Scrapware  which I think I can never tire of and that gorgeous Hambly rubon.

little red caboose...

Another layout from Camp mojo last weekend. This one features my youngest and his love for the story the little red caboose. He absolutely adores it and asks for it over and over and over!

Don't you just love that Scrapware frame!

I am slowly going through some older baby photos of my eldest and scrapping them before I completely forget. This day I rememeber so vividly ....he was learning to sit and became facinated by a shaft of light coming through our window. I have used a yummy Hambly baby buggy overlay and sewed it over some vintage book paper for a fun look. Hambly available in Australia at Handmadebysuzanne.

his own rubons...

Today I was finishing off a project down stairs with my boys floating around me. I rarely scrapbook down stairs because my oldest especially wants to touch and play with EVERYTHING! Well I had a deadline looming so I had no choice. I was rubbing  a large rubon onto my page and my oldest came over to watch what I was doing, of course he wanted to have a go on my rubon sheet I had the brand name logo which was also part of the rub on and gave it to him......boy was he delighted when it appeared like magic onto his page....Being a problem solver he wanted to make his own rubons, he took the shiny backing sheet of the rubon and started drawing with texta on it, then tried to rub it onto a piece of paper, I gave him the idea of turning the sheet over after drawing on it and then rubbing...hey presto it worked, he had created his own rubons...needless to say  he spent most of the day working on his project...with a space theme of course. I loved watching him draw then turn over and carefully assess where he was going to place each drawing!
Step 1 Draw on backing sheet with texta
Step 2 Turn it over and rub the image onto a piece of paper.
Step 3 Carefully lift off and wait with anticipation to see if it worked.
 Step 4 Celebrate worked fabulously!!!
 The finished product.

Over at Core'dinations we are having a cool colour combo competition. My very good friend lydia has bought us this gorgeous yummy scrummy  colour pallette based on this photo, and she has called it peachy keen.

Here is my take on the colour combo....some older photos of a little science experiment we had at our place last year.

To win come awesome Coredinations card stock just create a project (layout, card OTP what ever), Core must be recognizable on the project and we would love to see some technique happening...sanding, embossing or tearing. Link up your project here or over on our face book page here  by July 27th for your chance to win some FABULOUS FABULOUS PRIZES!!

new additions

I have no scrapping to share today so I thought I would show you some new additions to my scraproom. Firstly this decorative plate and glass dishes now takes centre stage on my desk, all my favourite goodies at easy reach.
I got this set of scales at a local kitchen ware shop, I had been on the look out for a vintage one but when I saw this one I new it would be perfect, it holds some buttons and gauze.
SIGH...finally I have the new OA rocket age papers and embellies in my hand, I have 8 layouts just waiting to be created, all my space goodies in one place in a  new white wooden tray.

Finally this is how I display my layouts once they are created. I have a few vintage stands down stairs on our formal dining table, they sit here until there is no more room on the stand and I am forced to put them into albums. LOL
