Over at Scrap the Boys there is a new challenge for the month of February. This month the challenge is to create a layout about your boys and someone that is important to them. My first thought was my boys are important to each other! They play all day together when they can, usually at the lego table ( LOL), so my choice was easy.
I have combined the Heidi Swapp Mixed Company collection with a little older Bella Blvd and October Afternoon! I added some heavy vellum over the black and white striped paper from Mixed Company to tone it down a little.
A new found love, stitching over chipboard words!
That lego washi tape was the perfect finishing touch to my layout!
I hope you get a chance to play along for a chance to win some fabulous prizes!

Just choose happy
The night before CHA Heidi handed me the new Heidi Swapp Dreamy collection and said go and create...well I couldn't go past this 'choose happy' pattern paper from the collection, I think it is just so fun. I tried out a different layout size which was also fun to work with. I layered a few pieces of the pattern papers from the collection then added the Ephemera pack pieces too.
I love how the acrylic and card stock pieces from the Ephemera pack layer so nicely. And those bow ties are definitely my favourite!
The puffy stickers are to die for.

I cannot wait for this collection to hit the shelves in March you will love it!

JOT magazine issue 4
Exciting news to share today, JOT magazine issue 4 is live here!
I have a number of projects in the magazine but today I want to share just 2.
This layout was for the Celebration gallery. That backround confetti paper from the Heidi Swapp Mixed Company collection is one of my all time favs.
I added some extra photos and journaling on some tags in the glassine bag.
...and this layout was created for the cotton/thread gallery.
I tangled some gold thread behind the feather and added some red and white twine too for some texture. Those gorgeous gold rubons are Pebbles and that fun flair is from Greatest View.

The Memory Planner...
I am so over the moon excited to finally share the new Heidi Swapp Memory planner being revealed today. This collection will only be available in Michaels and excitingly soon in Australia.... Details coming soon !
It's my new way of documenting the everyday happenings of my family. I wanted to decorate the cover a little differently so I created a She Art collage piece on the front of the planner. I modge podged some pattern paper on the front of the album to create a base. I then misted a Color Magic butterfly to form the wings and then built up my 'girl' with pattern paper from the collection.
I then used the mini stamps and background stamps to create texture and interest.
Isn't that crown stamp so fun! You can see I added some glitter to the butterfly for a bit of sparkle.
Heidi has designed some fabulous 3 in one masks and stencils , I have used one of them with some texture paste to create some raised elements on my cover.
Upon opening, each month has 3 parts that can be used for documentation.
Firstly on the left, there is a page to write down your thoughts for the month. There is room to add extra photos if you want.
Next there is a pocket page to hold your photos and memorabilia.
Finally there is a calendar page that you can embellish as you like with the stamps, stickers and extra embellishments in the collection. I completed my calendar up until the 6th of January when I left for the US and CHA. I have taken the planner with me and each night I can note down the day's highlights and then add my photos when I return home.

The adventure begins...
I created this quick little mini to take away with me to the US as reminder of my family. I used the Glitz Color Me Happy collection that I had in my stash.
I used my Epiphany Crafts tool to create this cute little charm.
My favourite photo of us all together.
My crazy boys...
and the love of my life...

she was inspired....
I've been dabbling in a bit of She Art lately. I have been wanting to create a piece just for me and my love of yellow.
Lots of old and new stamps and rubons to create texture ,The pattern paper is from my stash, some older papers from Lily Bee. I used some vintage dress making paper to form the base of my canvas

funny face...
There is a bright funky and Summery new mood board over at Jot magazine. A perfect combo of red , yellow and denim. I hope you get a chance to play along.
Before I go I am excited to announce I have been asked to join the DT for Scraptastic Kit club. If you are looking for a fun easy going kit club to join I would love to see you pop by. My term officially starts in February!
I chose to scrap these silly photos of my son using lots of bits and pieces of my stash. My favourite has to be that 'awesome' chipboard word from Heidi Swapp, I have stitched through it with my machine for some extra fun!
