At 4 and a half, my eldest is testing me to the limits...he has learnt very quickly to say no, which he has never done before and is trying the patience of both hubby and I. Gorgeous vellum from
Hambly and that
scrapware chippie doily frame is just to die for.
Till next time....
Oh Kim! I am going through the exact same thing with my oldest who is 4.5 as well. I am telling you that I am just hanging on by a thread at the moment with her. Everything is a battle, everything is an issue...arrrrrggghhhhhhh! You are not alone! AWESOME and STUNNING layout. LOve what you have done with the title. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteI love this layout! So nice colour of it.
ReplyDeleteJust remember, children are our honey teddy bears))
What a beautiful layout and your journaling is beautiful and the journaling strips are beautiful!!!! Let's say it again, beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love that picture!!
ReplyDeleteOk, right back at you.
ReplyDeleteSIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gorgeous LO even if the topic is a touchy one! Don't worry, get over this hurdle and it will get easier for everyone...x
ReplyDeleteI kept telling myself, It's just a stage and stages don't last very long! LOL! Best of Luck...x
love this KIM... ABSOLUTELY STUNNING WORK .... I can feel the energy ......
ReplyDeleteyes I agree, children can be challenging ... but we learn and grow from everything that happens, and I feel it is all about evolving and learning about acceptance that we are all different ... it is not easy but it is worthwhile ... this will pass .. love and hugz xoxox
Your layout is SENSATIONAL Kim. Love the colour and that woodgrain is to die for. Must get some!! It is a worry what our kids pick up at kindy from the "manners challenged" kids. My 4.5yo learnt to say 'I hate you' because he heard a child say it at kindy. He was just testing it out and hasn't said it since because I explained that it really hurt my feelings when he said it. I have found that counting to 5 somehow magically works if they know you are going to take a toy away when you get to 5!! Is that me being a mean mummy?? Don't care it works!! LOL
ReplyDeleteooh I can so relate to this! Your page is absolutely fabulous Kim!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this! I adore that aqua pp, especially when teamed with the natural chippie - gorgeous combo! I love that you have scrapped this 'not so perfect' aspect of your everyday life - it's something I am sure all parents can relate to at some stage! FAB work! XXX
ReplyDeleteAn amazing LO and loving the turquoise! Great phase to document. Oh, I remember those days so well with DD#1. Once she got to school she figured she had pretty much figured out the world and Mom and Dad didn't know much anymore!! hee hee It will pass. :) Our DD#2 was much easier. Hope this helps. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I SO know what you are going through. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous page tho - love the tape and the pic is STUNNING!!
Stunning colours and gorgeous design Kim! HUGS xx
ReplyDeleteOh I hear you loud and clear, Nate is 4 and 4months and where has a placid little helpful boy gone too, he actually said "gross" when I put his dinner down the other night, and it was lasagne....but the layout you have created is just stunning, I love how you did the title and the journalling and that vellum is gorgeous. Melxx - you are definately not alone.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful LO and I am so hearing you. My youngest is the same age and also has started Kindy. The joys of boys.
ReplyDeleteThis is one cool page. What a gorgeous photo too. Kids...they are certainly testers eh?!!
ReplyDeleteHi KIm... if you could watch each mum read your journalling.. you would see us all nodding... yes our kids test us and press the buttons.. and drive us nuts.. so a very precious layout, and i hope one day your strong boy will make you proud of his achievements, as the strong ones are the leaders of tomorrow.. it is just our job to direct and shape them.. and what a huge job that is.. all the best.. you are the perfect mum for your boys.. and a beautifully designed layout as always...xx
ReplyDeleteThis pic is sooo cute. He looks like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. They do grow out of it though. You don't think that they will, but they do. My two boys are now adults, but I can still remember going through this. It is tough at the time isn't it? Anyway great page Kim. Di xx
