After the floods here in Brisbane I wanted to share some life lessons with my oldest son Addison, we had many discussions on the impact the floods had on people and especially children, we talked about them losing their toys and possesions, when we made donations I wanted him to be there so he knew exactly what we were doing.I wanted him to learn empathy for others.... A bit drab and dreary to my usual style but I wanted to convey the impact ofthe floods...gorgeous new chippie gates from Scrapware..I roughed it up, distressed and inked the page to within an inch of it's life!
I took a photo of the paper up here in Brisbane and used that on my layout
Till next time...
Very Cool Kim. Love what you have created and I totally think it is a good idea to try to get our children to understand. We have done the same with our children and not turned off the TV and I want them to SEE it too. They also did a collection at my son's school where they put together baskets for the people who needed them and he got to choose what he wanted us to get to help out. Great idea to scrap it.
