pop pop pop...

Heidi Swapp's newest releases Color Pop and Clear Pop is to die for. The Color Pop is so vivid and striking and the Clear Pop which includes acrylic memory files and embellishments is out of this world. This layout was recently up on the Heidi Swapp blog. It tells the story of Heidi and the rest of the media team coming to visit me in hospital during CHA.

I love how the clear embellishments make a fun statement!
I've added a flair button from Greatest View as well!

I hung the memory file at the top of the layout with tiny jump rings and it opens to reveal this...

A mini fotostack..

 Lovin the layers created...

Inside the mini fotostack is a barcode. While I was in the hospital with my eldest who was sick I went looking on You Tube for videos of Heidi during CHA. I downloaded an App for my iphone called a QR reader which creates and reads  barcodes.  Once I scan the barcode it opens to the webpage and I can watch the video at any time!

This was the girls and I the morning of the show...before everything took a drastic turn...

I encourage you to ask your LSS to get these stunning lines in they are sooooooooo FABULOUS!!!!!

Hey You..

Today Im sharing a couple of projects using Basic Grey's Hey You collection. I adore the muted understated tones of the pattern papers.
My first layout tells the story of my youngest's new undies, I have some hidden journaling in the glassine baggie.

My second layout also features my youngest. This time I'm celebrating his first day at Kindy. I love
the pops of orange drawing the eye around the page.

For my final project I created a simple wall hanging using two favourite photos from our recent trip to Disneyland. I have used two pages from the Printed chipboard Album. The pages come already decorated, I simply added a photo and a couple of pieces of pattern papers and buttons to complete the project.

bag hooks...

Im not sure about you but when my boys come home from school their bags, hats and shoes are usually strewn all over the house. I decided I needed a bit of an area to store all these school pieces.
First I went down to Spotlight and grabbed a couple of wooden letters. Then over to Bunnings and grabbed a couple of hooks and a couple of coordinating rubber buckets.

Once home I painted the letters white with acrylic paint and once dry I traced the letters onto two pieces of patten paper from Heidi Swapp's No Limits collection. Perfect for my boys.
I then cut out the letters and used wood glue to adhere them to the letters. Once dry I sanded the edges for a more complete finish.

I then chose some digi words from Heidi's digi shop, cut them using my cameo onto white cardstock, spritzed them with Gold Lame ColorShine and adhered them onto the pattern paper. I finished with a coat of modge podge to protect the letters. We them attached it to the walls with the hooks and screws and added the buckets below for their shoes.

My boys love them!

fresh style...

So I'm all over the place with my project life weeks. Today I'm sharing week 8.

As you know, we are having a little 'Style it Up' week over at Greatest View . Loads of inspiration,  a fab Freebie  and a *Flair GIVEWAY*!
Gail created two sets of badges called In Style and Fresh Style, and there is a free downloadable journalling card set to match each style. I got to play with the yummy Fresh Style flair and download found here.
This week was a topsy turvey week. Watching Heidi Swapp on her live webshow was a definite high then having my son back in hospital for a few hours a low point.

 The left side.

and the right side...

Don't you just love the GR reader! I downloaded the QR reader App to my iphone and created this barcode, I can now scan it and watch the webshow at anytime.

Here you can see I used one of the journalling cards! I just added some red pattern paper to it to match the colours in my PL spread!

I wanted to keep my sons drawing so I just cut it in half , folded it over and placed it into the plastic sleeve pockets.

Chevron flair from the Fresh Style set!

I teach at a local scrapbook shop once a month!  Lovin this striped flair also from Fresh Style!

My son and his best friend drawing maps, I took photos of their maps and printed them out onto photo paper, now I have a permanent record!

Dont forget there is a *GIVEAWAY* of each set of FRESH STYLE and IN STYLE flair over on the Greatest View blog, all you need to do is go leave a comment on the Greatest View blog ! Easy Right!

101 ideas media team blog hop

Ok...so even though I'm from Australia and we do not have Micheals over here I am still totally excited to see and use these new Heidi Swapp products.

When Heidi asked her media team to help spread the news and create new projects we all jumped at the chance. The patterns and colours of the new products and re released ones are to die for and the projects you could create with them are endless. Here are just two of my favourites...

The Chipboard stickers are so much fun I love the bright happy colours. So easy to use just peel and stick.
The photo cluster is perfect, the layering is already done for you you just stick the whole banner straight onto your project and it looks like you worked so hard on all those layers.

So over the next 101 days there is going to be inspiration galore ( including step x step instructions for every project)  over on the Heidi Swapp website here  using these new goodies, here are just two of my 18   projects I will be sharing...

A mini album using the Color Magic Party banners and the Chipboard Stickers
