Joy

Another project today I created for my Guest Design team spot at Sassy Scrappers this month. I got to use the yummy Pink Paislee City Sidewalks collection.
I created this simple card to send to a friend!

The card solution....

I had a bunch of Christmas cards hanging over my blinds in my lounge room. I was thinking there must have been a better way to display and store them so I came up with my Christmas card holder using a Heidi Swapp Memory File and a shabby stand I found out a local market.
I have used the Believe free printable Heidi has on her blog this week, (check it out here) on the front of my folder

I misted some chipboard letters in  Cherry Red Color Shine. That banner comes from another free printable also found on Heidi's blog.

I so adore that Santa flair from Greatest View, just perfect for my project!

Here you can see my card holder open.

The first page houses  the Christmas card we will be sending out to family and friends this year. I used some of Heidi'd digi words on my card. That photo of my boys I created using a few apps on my iphone, see Heidi's blog for full details.

My banner I made from the packaging from Heidi's goodies!

Color Magic paper and Color Shine..perfect!

The second page holds my cards. I used a piece of acetate and sewed three sides to the back of my Memory File, I then printed out that free Christmas printable, cut it out and stapled it to the top of my pocket. I then slid my cards into the pocket!

My stand now sits on our formal dining room table along side my other Christmas decorations. Once Christmas is over I can take it off the stand and my cards are now safely inside for me to revist them in the future!

Scrapbooking Memories blog hop

I am excited to be joining in on the Scrapbooking Memories blog hop as my last project as a Master for this year....have you seen the fun take from the girls who have come before me on the hop ?

If you have been following along on the hop you would have seen there is a secret theme...have you guessed it yet?
So this is my take!

My youngest loves his Octonauts set, I 'm envious of the way his little imagination takes him to any place he wants to go.....

My favourite flair buttons from Greatest View.

My hidden journaling-I added a small magnet to the back of the Elle's Studio journaling tag and the back of my layout so It holds the tag in place,  when I want to read the journaling I can literally lift the tag right off the layout!

Make sure you pop back to the Scrapbooking Memories blog for handy hints and you can always have a guess while you’re at it!

So next along the way is the lovely Geli Duncan

December..

I was lucky enough to be guest designer this month over at Pink Paislee. I was sent the stunning Portfolio collection which included this 6 x 9 chipboard album. I decided to make my very first December Daily album, so I combined the yummy papers from Portfolio with scraps I had left over from Pink Paislee's City Sidewalks collection, I cut words with my cameo using Heidi Swapp's Digi word downloads and then misted them in Sweet Cherry and Gold Lame Color Shine. I also threw in a couple of December Daily flair buttons and chevron ribbon from Greatest View!
For the cover I misted it in Mr Huey's white  then Gold Lame Color Shine.
