Summer...

Summer is along way off  for us in Australia but I must say it is my favourite Season of the year, I HATE with a passion Winter, so when we were prompted this month over at Once Upon A Sketch to chose our favourite Season I of Course chose Summer.

Soleil Blog Hop

As soon as I saw this bright chevron patterned paper in the Soleil collection I knew immediately what photos I was going to use -some recent photos of my son playing and exploring at the beach. I love the pops of red and pink that make my layout come to life. I cut one of the cardstock flowers to create my sun, I simply snipped off the end of each petal and layered a punched cloud over the top. This collection is defintely versatile enough for boy and girl pages and since I have two boys its just PERFECT!

Comfort

I have shared before the special relationship between my son and his little friend Kate. Another special moment to remember today, a little while ago we were at a party with a clown show. Kate was scared so took Addison's hand for comfort...and thats how they sat for a while until Kate felt safe again.
This was another layout I created for the Heidi Swapp Media team Call, it is a favourite of mine I must add.

                                                               

I am making pretty stuff!

So I have been keeping a little secret for a week now but finally I can shout it to the rooftops....

I am still finding projects from my class over at Big Picture Classes with Heidi Swapp- The Art Of Observation. This particular week we focused on the extraordinary and I made a layout incorporating a file folder. I chose this photo of my youngest taken by my friend- just so typical of him at 3 laid back and casual.

....and beyond.....

I don't know about you but one of my youngest's favourite movie is Toy Story, he just loves it and his favourite character is Buzz Light year. One afternoon we spent over at my neighbour's house who just happened to have a Buzz light year suit. To say he was excited was an understatement. I created this layout for  Basic Grey a few weeks ago.

I have a couple of cards to share today from one of Basic Grey's newer lines Paper Cottage, I love the soft muted colours and sentiments in this line, perfect for cards I think.

Before I go you may have noticed my blog make over. I am sooooooo excited about it, its exactly what I wanted. ( yellow  yellow and more yellow) Thankyou to the talented Emma Straface for my incredible new look. If you are looking for a fresh  new look for your blog I cannot recemmend her highly enough!
