My husband has been waiting years for the new Bourne movie to come out so I thought I would throw him a little celebration before we head out to see the movie! My Heidi Swapp Lightbox was the perfect solution!
I love that I can change it up when ever I want. The movie icons and slides are the perfect way to celebrate any movie, they add a pop of fun to my lightbox display.
I must say these black and spot letters might be my fav though, I think I use them every time I change my lightbox out!
Let's hope the movie lives up to everyones expectations!
I love changing up the decor in my home and when I received the fun Heidi Swapp Marquee Frame I knew instantly what I wanted to do with it...make my own Makeup Mirror light! It takes pride of place on my dresser and I use it every morning to apply my makeup before heading to work.
I love how soft the lights are the create a lovely ambience in my room when alight. The frame comes with the bulbs already in the frame all you need to do is push in the bulbs and add batteries.
To create my light I simply found a mirror that was slightly larger than the inside of the frame and taped it to the back of the frame with some strong tape.
It really adds a touch of elegance to my bedroom.
Another little part of my dresser I adore is this sweet little pineapple jewellery holder given to me by a friend. Ive found its a good place to hold my treasured charms from Heidi's collection with Littlefield Lane!
A few months ago I had the pleasure of visiting Heidi for 7 fabulous days. One of the highlights of my trip was visiting Michaels with her and standing in front of the many collections she has in store, in particular her newest at that time, the exclusive Gallery Wall collection. So when my assignment this month to use the gallery wall collection on a layout came up I couldn't think of a better memory to record.
You can see I used several pieces in the collection to create my layout including that gorgeous floral art screen and hot pink art screen ink which is the hero of my layout.
I laid the art screen down on the edge of my piece of white Bazzill cardstock, masked off the area with some washi tape and scraped the art screen ink onto my cardstock. Once dry I layered over my title in this case some of the Color Magic jumbo numbers which instead of using Color Shine on added some glue at the bottom and sprinkled on some of the Marquee Love Silver glitter also in the collection. I adhered that fun glitter word for an extra pop of fun.
The floral design adds such a beautiful feminine pattern to my cardstock. I like to think I created my own pattern paper. I then added a strip of the silver spot 2 inch washi tape, which was designed for the 12 inch Marquee letters but I thought it would create a beautiful accent on my layout.
I then grabbed some of the Muslin fabric banners from the collection and spritzed them with my favorite color of Color Shine the Butter. I only sprayed the bottom section of the banner to give a bit of interest to the banner. I then used double sided tape to attach to my layout.
I wanted an extra pink element on my layout so I used one of the large Color Magic banners and hand drew a butterfly and then trimmed it with my scissors. I then spritzed it with the Hot Pink Color Shine from the collection and wiped of the excess to reveal the white spots that had resisted the Color Shine.
I layered a hand cut vellum butterfly underneath , stapled them together and added some dimension by bending up the wings.
To complete my layout I added some hand stitching to represent the butterfly trail. It took a bit of time but I think it was totally worth it , it adds such a beautiful touch of tone on tone texture to my layout.
I encourage you to drop by the Gallery Wall and Mixed Media collection at your local Michaels store, it's not just for home decor, it is so versatile it can be used on your next scrapbook layout too!

I went scrolling through my photos on my computer recently and came across this layout that I have not shared yet. It is from a few months ago and was featured in Jot magazine.
It shares the story of meeting Heidi from Little field lane when I visited Utah last school holidays.
I am so blessed to be able to support Heidi in all of her endeavours and meeting the other Heidi ( lol it does get confusing) who has an incredible collaboration with Heidi designing jewellery and T shirts using Heidi's divine handwriting.
The fun thing about this layout is that I used the Ombre Pink and Gold foil and the new Minc reactive paint through the stencil to create this gorgeous element on my page.
To add another subtle layer I added some vellum over the foiled piece to soften the look slightly.
Ok my friends, I saw a funny on Instagram the other day---> 6 months till Christmas!!! Seriously how can that be! Well welcome to July we are officially half way through 2016...and I have the proof because my Memory Planner is bulging at the seams with 6 months worth of my every day memories. So much so that I want to share how I have made room in my planner and transferred these memories into the Memory Planner Storage Binder. It is as easy as slipping them out of my planner and into the storage binder that comes in the collection! Now I have room for the next 6 months in my planner for more of my families memories.
...But I digress, let me share with you my June pages and how I have transitioned smoothly into July!
I love printing off 4 x 4 or 4x6 photos, punching holes with my planner punch and adding them straight into my planner. Adds dimension and fun into a two page spread.
Washi tape torn into small pieces from the Washi sticker pack is a nice and easy way to embellish a page.
A favourite layout of mine at the moment.
I added in a gift card I received in the mail, allows me to recall these gifts in the future.
Some weeks there is not a lot to share with work and school the priority, consider using a larger photo that takes up most of the page to celebrate the week.
I love using the smaller Personal Planner Clear Dividers to add interest.
and the Foiled pocket cards don't always have to fit into the clear pockets. You can embellish your pages with them too.
Here I share my DIY laminated page that I shared in the following technique video recently.
Washi on the corner of photos, a perfect way to dress it up!
Another 4 x 4 photo!
Overlapping stickers onto the Foiled Pocket cards adds texture without dimension.
I think this is my favourite spread of the month!
Here I used one of the new Minc laminating labels and added some journaling to it...
By running it through my vintage typewriter. I then popped it into the laminating pouch, ran it through my Minc, punched a hole and added it into my planner.
The Glitter stickers add a touch of sophistication to my page.
...or maybe this is my favourite double page spread( wink)
Stamping makes a quick and easy embellishments.
Here I used one of the Minc Laminating Photo pouches to laminate this favourite photos of my boys and I .
...and to finish off the month a couple of photos from our recent outings!
Now Lets celebrate JULY!
I added a couple of the calendar stickers to the July Divider page.
You can see my planner now has enough room to fill with memories as the first half of the years pages are in the storage binder!
I added some of my important To Do points to the July Dash board.
Im pining for Summer at the moment here in Australia so I may have gone a little pineapple crazy to reset my July pages. I was working on a scrapbook page recently and I had foiled and then die cut a pineapple from some toner paper. I love the "left over" piece so much I decided to add it into my planner. I simply clipped it t one of the Personal Planner Clear Divider pages and added it to my planner.
I love the dimension it creates.
I then wanted to create my own printable (WHICH I HAVE ADDED TO THE END OF MY POST FOR YOU TO DOWNLOAD TOO!) to add in as well so I created this one , printed it off on my Laser printer onto some of the New Minc Vellum and foiled it with the yummy Pink and Gold ombre foil!
What a stunning impact it makes! You can see, through my vellum I have my date stickers all ready to go and I can't wait to fill July up with more precious memories.
DOWNLOAD the pineapple printable HERE!
Thanks for hanging in there with my long post. I can't wait to see your take on my printable, remember to tag my on Instagram if you use it!
