The Jet Pack...

This layout was up on the Heidi Swapp blog last week. I combined the soft and delicate Dreamy collection with the fun and bold Favorite Things collection.

That star is one of the new Water Color Star tags that I spritzed with Seafoam Colorshine and then added the arrow stamp over the top.

Lots of pieces from the Favorite Things  Ephemera pack were used to embellish my layout.

... and of course my journaling which shares the story of their bubble jet packs.

Before I go , anyone in Melbourne heading to the Better Homes and Gardens Live event this weekend, I will be there teaching a Heidi Swapp card class ( we will be creating 2 cards in the class) at 11am each day. I would love to see you there.

Worth Wondering...

This month's Worth Wondering kit from Scraptastic is  full of soft pastels and bold patterns. Today I am sharing two layouts I created using the kit.
First I challenged myself to create a Christmas layout using the non Christmas papers and embellishments.

I embossed a sheet of vellum with the stamp set from the kit.

My second layout I created with 6 photos of a recent family beach trip.

I layered up and clustered  the embellies to the left of the photo to draw your eye to the fun family selfie.

I then lined up 5 smaller photos in a row that I printed off to look like polaroid photos.

Stencil cards...

Recently on the Heidi Swapp website   we released 6 free card tutorials that can de downloaded and saved for future reference.
This was my card I created.

Here are the 6 gorgeous cards that Heidi and the other team members created , all using the new layered 3 piece stencils.
I have shared my downloadable instructions here, but you can also download the other 5 set of instructions here on the Heidi Swapp website.

legoland mini album

Recently on the Heidi Swapp blog I shared this LEGOLAND album.

You can see I used a lego plate as my cover and added one of my son's cars to decorate it, I simply hot glued the paper and card to the lego plate.

I began with a Color Pop memory file which I trimmed in half.

I added in a LEGOLAND map and added some Hello Today Ephemera to embellish it.

Hello Today pattern paper.

New Favorite Things pattern paper.

I used my Silhouette to cut out the LEGOLAND word from the pattern paper and backed it with more pattern paper.

I created a flap to add extra photos.

I printed my photo off as a full page and embellished it simply with some mini stamps, Heidi's hand written word and glitter shapes.

Here a created a peekaboo page by trimming three sides on certain areas on a sheet of Hello Today pattern paper.

I am in love with the new Favorite Things Puffy Stickers!

I added qr codes  of my boys  on their fav rides at the park.

Ephemera from Hello Today.

Here I used one of the Color Magic cards to create a liftable to add extra photos.

On each photo I used some of the Hello Today mini stamps to embellish.

Here I added a fold out page .

Another page cut with my silhouette , this time I added some acrylic to back the letters.

I sewed through a memory file to create pockets for extra photos.

Hello Today Chipboard shapes add texture.

For the miniland photos I wanted to create an extra mini album, so I used one of the wooden albums as my cover and attached it with large jump rings to the back lego cover.

More pockets for extra photos.

QR codes of fun new displays.

A Mini Memory file cut in half.

Here I cut a slit in the pattern paper from Favorite Things to house the tags with extra photos.

My boys favourite lego chima to complete my album.
