behind..

I have fallen behind posting my Project life pages.
Today I am posting my title page for 2013 using my favourite photo from our trip to Disneyland earlier in the year. I had the photo printed at Camera House to 12 x 12, then trimmed it to fit inside the pockets of the page protector. I use the WRMK page protectors because I like the square pockets in the centre.
I'm also sharing my week 8 spread.

I love this flair from Greatest View!

and the right side.

That sweetheart card is a digital download from Heidi Swapp.

I created a little pocket to add some journaling and extra photos!

the magic of Easter...

Being Easter soon I created a couple of Easter cards  for the Heidi Swapp blog. I decided to use Color Magic paper and Color Shine mist on all my cards as well as some papers from the new release Serendipity collection.

Here I've done some hand stitching on the  Color Magic note!

The yummy Easter flair is of course from Greatest View!

...and used my cameo to cut out the egg shape on the next two cards.

Another flair from Greatest View.

                                                               Happy Easter to you all!

he graduates and a Winner!!

Last year my eldest graduated from Prep, he had an incredible first year at school. They had a little graduation ceremony on the last day of school with the students walking out onto the star lined red carpet with a certificate and hat. The Bella Blvd All American line was a perfect choice for my photos.

Kneehighs & Bowties Blog Hop

                                                        * GIVE AWAY CLOSED *

Welcome to the BasicGrey Knee Highs and Bow Ties Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from the  BasicGrey blog.

Awe, those playground days—a time full of wonderment and imagination. BasicGrey has captured that energy and excitement in these two coordinating lines. The rough and tumble look of Bow Ties will liven up your crafty toy box, with its vibrant shades of leap-frog green, red-rover red, freeze-tag teal, and more. And the playful motifs in this line, which include tools, cars, creepy-crawlies and rocket ships, will rev your creative engine and as your project ideas soar to new heights.
Looking for a bit more sugar and spice? Knee Highs will put a smile on your face with its rainbow brights and fanciful florals.

I totally loved using the rocket ship  pattern paper on my layout. When I opened my box of goodies and saw this pattern paper I knew exactly which photos I would use, my boys spent one afternoon playing outside on our fort pretending to be astronauts and the rocket ship pattern was perfect!

Hey Girl!

I'm really enjoying using BasicGrey's newest collections. For these  three layouts I have used the
Hey Girl collection. The patterns are bright, bold and fun which I just love using!

Nothing better than a Summer splash in the pool!

For this one I did a bit of hand stitching using back stitch on my layout!

Another celebrating my son's sweet friendship with his best friend!

...and finally this one. I just had to use that bold chocolate text pattern paper with these photos, they were a perfect match!

The wall Hanging

It was recently our anniversay and I wanted to create something special for my husband using our wedding photos.
I pulled apart a wooden album from the Heidi Swapp Michaels collection and created a wall hanging.

I spritzed the album in one coat of mustard Color Shine and then added in some Sugar Chic papers and embellishments and a new Clear Pop banner delight ! I used some brown ink and a makeup sponge to ink the edges of the album and papers. To finish I tied the pieces together with some seam binding and hung it in our loungeroom on a decorative hook!

                                                                        He loved it!

the lego table...

I'm keeping up with my Poject Life so far. My week 9 spread was up on the Heidi Swapp blog recently showcasing her new releases Clear Pop and Serendipity. I had so many photos I had to add in an extra insert. The first photo shows the spread with the insert.

This photo shows the spread without the insert.

That favorite journalling card was one of Heidi's Valentine downloadables.

My husband went over seas that week and I wanted to keep an email he sent me. I overlayed one of the Clear Pop tags and then a Flair button from Greatest View for fun!

I think my favourite thing about Project Life is, I get to permantly have records of the drawings my boys do each week.

Love this felt fuzzy embellishment from Scrap This!

The right side

I have used one of the Clear Pop pockets to hold a fav memory from that week.

Another Clear Pop tag  embellished with a Greatest View flair.

My boys went to a lego Party and they got some name badges I wanted to keep them in a safe place. I used a yellow baggie from Greatest View!

The extra insert tells the story of the lego table my dad built for my boys. I filmed them playing on it for the first time and used my QR reader to create a barcode for the video which I had uploaded to You Tube, now I can scan it and watch it at any time.
