scraploot upload

Hi all , hope you are having a fab weekend. Its the first of the month and that means upload time for the design team over at scraploot. This months theme was Love of course. I was given some beautiful Carolees creations and Deja view papers to play with, although not my usual colours i'm happy with the results. One I cant share here as i'm giving it as a gift. The first one of David and Larsen this was not a posed photo i just happened to look up with the camera and snapped this beautiful shot. The second one of my mum with Larsen, she just adores him. The last one is a wedding keepsake box which could be used to hold all types of your wedding momentos in.

Larsen turns 2 months tomorrow (where has those two months gone ?) so ill be back with some photos and more layouts to share then, take care and enjoy your Sunday.

Good evening every one, I trust you had a great Australia Day, ours was quiet, we stayed in doors out of the heat.

The last few days Addison has not been well so we have also tried to keep things fairly low key.

I ve been busy during sleep time finishing off my Scraploot projects which will be revealed on Sunday and I also completed some more layouts of Larsen. The first is his 1 month milestone layout, i will be doing one each month as I did for Addison, the second is his first Christmas, you may notice the white lettering, originally i had aplied some kindi glitz to some black thickers but hated how it looked so i painted over the glitter with white paint.......while the letters were stuck to the layout ! Dont try this at home folks LOL !

These last photos are of our visit to my sisters on the Gold Coast on Sunday, Addison's fav thing right now is to "do diving", he just loves it. A peaceful one with my Dad and Larsen and finally my beautiful niece Hayley with Larsen she just adores him.

Larsen turned 8 weeks today, he is growing so well not my sweet little new born any more.boo hoo !

things to share

Hi all

I have a few things to share with you today. Ive been busy trying out our new camera on the boys and doing a bit of scrapping as well.

Larsen was 7 weeks yesterday he had his 6 week check up and is doing great, he weighs 5.08 kgs and growing and changing every day.He smiles lots now and is starting to make gurggling sounds which sounds so sweet.

Addison just adores him and gets so excited doing tummy time, he goes and gets a blanket to lie on and lies down and waits for me to lay Larsen down.

Ive done a couple of layouts that i can share with you , the others will be revealed on Feb 1 when they are posted for scraploot DT.

Its been so hot and sticky here over the past few days thank god for air conditioners !

The other day i was looking through some old family photos of David and came across several of David when he was a baby, immediately I saw this one and was stunned at how much Larsen looks like David. I had the photo scanned and enlarged at Big W and asked Addison who it was "thats Larsen " he said, David said to me he thinks all babies are Larsen so I showed Addison a different photo of a different baby my friends little one Paige and he just looked at it blankly and didnt say anything, What do you think do they look the same, sorry about the bad quality of photo its the best i could do.

On the scrapping front im busy with my scraploot layouts for Feb and have started a personal one that ill post soon

Hi everyone, i hope you are having a great Summer, the days have just been beautiull up here in Brisbane. Today we had our family photographs taken in the city, by a professional photographer, Larsen was a gem, even though he got woken from his sleep after only an hour he was so placid and co-operative, even the photographer commented. Addison however was in a very un co-operative mood, he didnt want to pose at all, we tried to bribe him with stickers and food but he knew we were up to something........... mmmm lets just see what we end up with.

I have some layouts to share these were posted on the scraploot blog on Sunday for my technique post, the daddy one and the painting one are older layouts over 12 months old in fact. I decided to do my post on using card stock only for your layouts, hope you enjoy them

Day out with Thomas

Today we took Addison out to Ipswich to see Thomas the Tank engine at the railway museum. He had a ball playing on and in the model Thomas, listening to the fat controller, exploring the steam engines and playing with the toy trains and tracks. It was an very hot day 32 degrees but he handled it very well. Larsen slept the whole time we were there and I think David enjoyed playing with the toy trains as much as Addison !

If you live in Brisbane and have toddlers i thoroughly recommend it.

This last photo speaks for itself, Addison was exhausted and fell asleep straight away on our trip home.

I hope to get these photos and the many i have of Larsen scrapped very soon !!

Larsen turns 1 month

Where has the month gone, yesterday Larsen turned one month.

The time has flown I remember with Addison time went very slowly but with Larsen things are speeding along.

He is growing well and is happy most of the time, his sleep patterns are changing not the mr sleepy head of old , now he is starting to wake after 40 minutes of sleep ...grumble grumble...any one with a tip on how to avoid this please let me know. We took these photos yesterday, it was a very dull and rainy day so the lighting isnt the best but please enjoy.

As promised here is a peak at my layouts for.scraploot.for this month, Instead of Summer layouts i was given a Bella mini album and lots pf cute basic grey baby papers. This was so easy and quick to do. I cut and inked all my papers first to 4 x 4 then embellished very simply. I actually made this mini album for a friend who knew she was having a boy so i could get it done before Larsen was born.

finally some layouts to share

Good evening all, i finally have some layouts to share with you, ive been itching to complete some but with a new bub its hard to find the time, and at night im zonked all i want to do is go to bed. Today i actually finished two layouts in two hours during nap time, both boys where down at the same time i know i should have been napping too but i really wanted to scrap.

The first one is about Larsen's strange sounds he makes when he is asleep, its cute but keeps me awake.

The second one shows Larsen's hospital bands, i wanted to do a layout telling that he is all ours.

The last layout i have wanted to complete for a while, it tells of Addison's counting ability, this photo of him is a favourite one.

The final photo was taken to day, Addison is really wanting to interact with Larsen now. Today he wanted to hold him and play with him, he is still learning how to be gentle he wants to touch his face all the time, although the photo is a bit blurry i still wanted to share it with you.

Larsen turns one month tomorrow so ill be back to share some photos and also to share my layouts for this month over at scraploot, be sure to go on over and check out the other girls layouts they are terrific.
